The word on the street is that Meghan Markle is already rewriting the royal tradition.
According to The Sunday Times, the 36-year-old actress of Suits will be the first royal bride to spend Christmas with Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family while they meet at Sandringham House.
Traditionally, fiancees are usually not invited to this intimate holiday gathering – even Kate Middleton did not attend in 2010 while she was newly engaged to Prince William. However, sources say that Prince Harry asked the Queen to make an exception for Markle, and she did it! This break in tradition is a big problem, and it shows that the entire royal family is already embracing Markle.
So, what can Markle expect during the holidays? Everyone will meet at Sandringham House, the Queen's private estate in Norfolk, for a black tie dinner, a full English breakfast and a pheasant shoot. No biggie. Oh, and they will also open gifts together on Christmas Eve, they are like us!
According to some sources, the couple will return to the United States to spend the New Year with the Markle family. It's their first holiday season together, and they treat her like seasoned pros. Just another reason to love these two.
Hoping we can see holiday pictures inside the royal gathering.
